How AI credits work

Edited 2026-04-09

AI credits are the usage unit Heho uses for billable AI actions.

What uses credits

Examples of actions that can consume credits include:

  • Song Wizard draft generation
  • Lyrics agent chat
  • Rewrite and fix meter actions
  • Suno assistant actions
  • Release Kit generation

The exact cost depends on the action. Billing surfaces inside the app show the current credit balance and recent usage.

Free plan vs paid plans

  • Free includes a monthly credit allowance.
  • Pro and Studio include larger monthly credit pools.
  • Some advanced actions are paid-plan only even if you still have credits remaining.

Why an action may be blocked

An AI action can fail for two common reasons:

  1. You do not have enough credits left for that action.
  2. Your current plan does not include that action.

If an action is blocked, the app should explain whether the issue is balance or plan access.

Reset timing

Credits reset on the current billing cycle. Free and paid cycles can behave differently depending on plan and subscription source, so always trust the billing page for the current reset date.
