Every plan opens the same studio: the Lyrics, Sunofy and Publish tabs, the idea box and the Paste into Suno row. What changes is the size of the monthly credit allowance, which AI tools you can run as often as your credits allow, how many variants each song holds, and a few size limits. A plan belongs to a workspace, and so do its credits.
What each plan includes
| Free | Pro | Studio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly AI credits | An allowance | A larger allowance | The largest allowance |
| Variants per song | 2 | 10 | No limit |
| Premium AI tools | Each use takes a premium preview | Yes | Yes |
| Clone song (audio analysis) | No | Yes | Yes |
| Synced lyrics | No | Yes | Yes |
| Largest song from a template | 8 sections, 56 lines | 12 sections, 96 lines | 18 sections, 160 lines |
| Audio workbench | Clips up to 60 seconds, MP3, one variation | Up to 8 minutes, MP3 or WAV, up to four variations, every preset | Same as Pro |
Each plan's price is on its card on the Billing page.
No plan limits how many songs you write. The variant limit applies to New variant, which shows "Variant limit reached on your plan. Upgrade to create more." once you reach it.
Tools that run on credits alone
On every plan these run as long as your credits last: the Lyrics Assistant chat, Add lines and Co-Write line, a new song from the Template gallery, song import with Find a song, Sync metrics, the word tools and Rhymes, thumbnail images and Audio workbench downloads.
A new song from the idea box or New song runs on credits too. On Free, when it includes Suno tagging, it also needs one of the month's premium previews.
Premium tools
On Free, each use of these takes one of the month's premium previews as well as its credits. On Pro and Studio they run on credits like everything else.
- Rewrite section, Fix meter, and Write section on an empty section
- Retry and Try another version on a Lyrics Assistant suggestion
- The Suno Assistant: Optimize tags, Fix contradictions, Suggest ad-libs, Simplify tags, its chat, and the Suno tagging after an idea box song
- Suggest Lines in Smart Lyrics
- Generate Release Kit, Generate Video Plan and Generate Video Prompts on Publish
Two tools need Pro or Studio and have no premium preview. On Free, Generate synced lyrics on Publish asks you to upgrade, and Clone song under Import in the studio's left panel is greyed out and marked Pro/Studio.
In the mobile app, the word tools on a long-pressed word and Suggest Lines need Pro or Studio.
Change your plan
- Open More at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Billing. On Free, Upgrade to Pro just above More opens the same page; on Pro it reads Upgrade to Studio.
- Scroll to the plan cards. On Free, Get Started on a paid card takes you to checkout.
- On a paid plan, Switch plan moves you to the other paid plan at once. Your renewal date stays the same and the price difference is prorated. Manage downgrade on the Free card opens your subscription in Stripe, where payments are handled.
The dialog that opens when a tool is refused shows plan cards too. On Free their buttons read Upgrade to Pro and Upgrade to Studio; on a paid plan the other plan's button reads Switch to and its name.
NoteOnly a workspace admin can change the plan. Other members see the plan and the credits on Billing, but not the plan cards.
