Most of the Heho app is one tap away, but a few things sit behind a long press or a swipe, and nothing on screen says so. This page covers the tabs, the controls inside a song, and the long presses and swipes you will use most.

The four tabs

The bar at the bottom of the app has four icons and no words.

The bar hides while a song is open. Inside a song, the Lyrics, Sunofy and Publish steps take its place at the bottom of the screen.

The top of a song

From left to right, the top row of the studio holds:

• The back arrow, which takes you to Projects. In the Smart view it takes you back to Edit first.
• The sliders icon, which opens the Project panel: the song's Variants and Sections, then Find a song, Tuning, Import, Export and Save as template.
• Edit and Smart, on the Lyrics and Sunofy steps. Edit shows the song as section cards, Smart as one block of text.
• The bell, for your notifications.

Under them sit the song's title and the variant you are on. Tap them to switch variants. Long-press them to rename the song. The button on the right opens the Lyrics Assistant on the Lyrics step and the Suno Assistant on Sunofy. On Publish it reads Share, and lets you share or copy the lyrics, the Suno style or the tagged lyrics. In the Smart view this row is hidden. Tap Edit to see it again.

On Android, the back button does what the back arrow does. If the guided walkthrough is running, it skips the walkthrough instead.

Move between Lyrics, Sunofy and Publish

The bar at the bottom of a song holds the three steps. Tap one to go there. The step you are on is lit and shows its number. A tick marks each step before the one you are on, and each step before the furthest one this variant has reached. Seen from Lyrics, a tick on Sunofy means the variant has already reached Publish.

The bar hides in the Smart view. Tap Edit to bring it back.

Long press

After you pick from the word menu, a sheet lists words that fit, each with its syllable count. For Translate, choose the language first. Tap a word and it takes the place of the one in the line. In the app these lookups need a Pro or Studio plan. On the web they work on every plan, from a right-click on a word you have selected.

A line can be dragged only in a section with no breaks in it.

Swipe and drag

• Swipe a song to the left on Projects to show Delete. The app asks first, because a deleted song cannot be brought back.
• Swipe a template you saved to the left in Templates for the same Delete. A template marked System cannot be deleted.
• Pull the list of songs down to refresh it.
• In the Smart view, drag the handle at the top of the Smart Lyrics panel to make it taller or shorter. Drag it to the bottom to fold it down to its title. The cross closes it.
• On Publish, once a song's synced lyrics are ready, tap or drag along the bar beside the play button to jump to that moment.

Taps worth knowing

• Tap a line's row, to the right of its words, to edit it. The keyboard's return key saves the line and opens a new one under it. A line you empty is deleted when you leave it.
• The cross at the end of a line deletes it, after the app asks.
• Tap the section type at the left of a section's header, such as VERSE or CHORUS, to fold the section to a one-line preview. Tap it again to open it.
• AI in a section's header opens that section's AI actions. The three dots at the right of the header open Rename, Type, Up, Down, Duplicate and Delete.
• The + between two sections adds a section there. The small + between two lines opens + Line and + Break for that spot, and Co-Write line on the Lyrics step.
• On Lyrics, the tag line under a section's header opens that section on Sunofy. On Sunofy, Rewrite under a section's last line takes you back to it on Lyrics. Either way, the section's AI actions are open when you arrive.

Switch and manage variants

Tap the song's title at the top of the studio to open Variants. Each variant shows three dots: purple for Lyrics, amber for Sunofy, green for Publish. A dot fills in once the variant has reached that step.

• Tap a variant to switch to it. It opens on the step you last used on it.
• The three dots at the end of a row open Quick actions (Sync metrics and Optimize tags for that variant) and Manage variant (Rename, Clone, and Delete when the song has more than one variant).
• + New Variant starts another one.

The Variants row in the Project panel shows the same dots. On Projects, each song card lists its variants with their dots; tap one to open the song on that variant.
