Heho offers two ways to interact with your song. You can switch between them using the mode toggle at the top of the editor.
The Structured Editor (Default)
The Structured Editor is designed for organization. It breaks your song into distinct sections like Intro, Verse, Chorus, and Bridge.
- Best for: Finalizing structure, refining specific lines, and keeping a high-level view of your song.
- AI Tool: Uses the Lyrics Agent in the side panel for chat and rewrite proposals.

Smart Lyrics Mode (Pro+)
Smart Lyrics is a more freeform, AI-driven writing environment. It's designed for rapid-fire ideation and finishing lines as you write.
- Appearance: The editor turns into a clean, freeform space with an amber-tinted background.
- The Panel: A dedicated side panel replaces the Lyrics Agent, offering two manual search tools:
- Rhymes: Search for rhymes based on the last word of your cursor's current line.
- Lines: Generate up to 3 context-aware line suggestions to finish your thought.

Smart Insert behavior
In Smart Lyrics mode, clicking an AI suggestion has "Smart Insert" logic:
- First click: Appends the suggestion as a new line after your cursor (highlighted in emerald green).
- Subsequent clicks: Replaces that last-inserted line so you can cycle through suggestions quickly.
- Ctrl + Click: Always appends another new line, allowing you to build multiple lines in a row.
Choosing the right mode
- Use Structured when you are editing a finished song or want to organize sections.
- Use Smart Lyrics when you are "stuck" mid-song and want AI to help finish your lines.
NoteSmart Lyrics is currently only available on web and requires a Pro or Studio plan.
