Importing Lyrics via Song Search

Edited 2026-04-09

Heho's lyric import feature allows you to bring any song into your project with a few clicks. The app automatically scrapes, normalizes, and structures the lyrics so they fit perfectly into the Heho editor.

Finding a song to import

You can initiate an import from the project editor.

  1. In the sidebar, click the Find a song button.
  2. The Lyrics Import modal will appear with two ways to search:
    • Songs tab: Search by song title and/or artist name for specific results.
    • Artists tab: Browse the full catalog of a specific artist to find a song you love.

Importing as a new variant

Once you select a song, Heho doesn't overwrite your work; it creates a new Variant.

  1. Choose a song from the results list.
  2. Review the import details (song title, artist, and cost).
  3. Click Import lyrics.
  4. Heho's AI will analyze the song and create a new variant in your project with structured sections (Verse, Chorus, etc.).

Cost and limits

  • Credit cost: Each successful song import costs 3 credits.
  • Normalization: The app automatically attempts to map lines to standard song sections. If the AI cannot find a clear structure, it will provide a simple, verse-based layout.
Note

Importing lyrics grows the collective Heho corpus, making future searches faster and results more accurate for everyone.
