Using Project Templates

Edited 2026-04-09

Templates in Heho allow you to save the core DNA of a song for future reuse. This includes its section structure (verse, chorus, bridge), project parameters, and Suno-optimized variant tags.

Creating a project from a template

When you start a new project, you can choose a template to skip the manual setup phase.

  1. Go to the Templates page from the sidebar or select From template in the project list.
  2. Browse the available templates. You can search by name or filter by your favorites.
  3. Click Create project on any template card to launch the editor with the pre-defined structure.
  4. (Optional) In the Create project sheet, you can choose whether to import the lyrics from the template or just the structure and tags.

The template gallery shows a grid of available song structures

Saving a project as a template

If you have built a structure that works perfectly, you can save it to your organization's template gallery.

  1. Open your project in the editor.
  2. In the top toolbar, look for the Save as template option.
  3. Give your template a name and an optional description.
  4. Heho will capture the current structure, variant tags, and lyrics into the new template.

The 'Save from project' sheet allows you to name and describe your new template

Managing your templates

On the Templates page, you can perform several management actions:

  • Favorite: Star your most-used templates to keep them at the top of the list.
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of a template to try a variation of the structure.
  • Delete: Remove templates you no longer need.
Tip

Templates are shared across your entire organization. Any template you save will be available to your team members.
